Carol Peterson

Carol's spectacular paintings have won many awards and much acclaim, as well as collectors from around the globe. She has won Best of Show or First Place Awards at least 17 times in her career. She has studied art under Warren Taylor, Don Getz, Naomi Brotherton, Helen Gwinn, Hilary Page, Silvia Miller, Kathy Hinson, and Gale Webb. Carol is an amazingly talented artist who has only painted full time since 2001.

Carol enjoys painting landscapes and flowers in watercolor and lately has painted numerous commissioned portraits of animals and people, as well. Although most of her paintings are watercolor on traditional watercolor paper, Carol also paints in acrylics and oils on various surfaces as well. Carol loves to observe and paint the feel of a person, often putting their personality into the colors and brushstrokes she uses. For instance, she finds that small children are best painted with light watercolor washes on traditional watercolor paper, whereas, older men lend themselves to a heavier treatment with dark watercolor on a gessoed surface.
